WHAT WE DO
Scholarships
MEF provides scholarships to 7th and 8th grade students for their educational trips to Springfield, Illinois, and Washington, D.C. These trips offer valuable learning experiences about the state and national government, history, and culture. Additionally, we offer Lincoln-Way High School Alumni Scholarships to students who have attended Mokena 159 schools, supporting them in their pursuit of higher education and college goals.
Grants
Educators and staff of Mokena 159 schools are encouraged to apply for grants aimed at fostering innovative concepts. MEF provides these grants to equip educators with the resources needed to create transformative learning experiences. By supporting novel instructional methods, cutting-edge technologies, and enriching programs that may otherwise fall outside the scope of the school's fiscal budget, MEF aims to elevate the educational journey for every student in our district.
Fundraising
MEF is able to support the scholarship and grant activities through various fundraising initiatives, such as School Supply Kits, Family Portraits, Student Raffle Baskets, Spring Flower Sales, and various events. We encourage you to participate!
